  Hugh's Profile

To Hugh Dale-Harris,
It's a Treasure Chest.

Filled with love, dreams and memories of adventure, this is a special place, handed down from generation to generation. Today, this cottage belongs to Hugh Dale-Harris's children. He thinks of it as his family's treasure chest.

Because it really is.

courtship & kids

This particular cottage, on Blue Sea Lake in Quebec, was inherited by Hugh years ago. The shores of the lake provided a backdrop for the courtship of Hugh's parents. It also played a central role in his childhood, as his family would spend summer days playing by the pristine blue water, sailing, picnicking and enjoying the closeness such experiences foster.

Over three decades ago, Hugh married Elizabeth (whom he calls "Busy"). Busy and Hugh have two children, who in turn enjoyed life along the pine-lined shores of Blue Sea Lake. They found the natural beauty of the area a perfect setting for many wonderful adventures - just as Hugh and his sisters had years before.

This cottage was where Hugh's children, Sarah and Hughie, learned to fish, hike, and sail. But they also learned that with such freedoms come responsibility, such as tending to the building's upkeep while respecting its place in the surrounding forests. Hugh knew such lessons would be invaluable to his children as they grew.

it's his business

We all associate our family's special moments in context, and that means home. For most, home is also a place where futures are planned and played out. No one respects this more than Hugh, who has chosen to make it his business to help families buy and sell their homes.

serving the public

As one of Ottawa's leading Realtors, Hugh draws from his experiences as a manager and engineer with Public Works Canada. He served as chief of civil engineering and architectural maintenance and director of facilities maintenance management. Hugh's responsibilities were considerable, as his involvement with major projects and industry associations took him all over North America.

Hugh has found that he is able to draw upon both his educational and professional background to deliver the desired results for his clients. With an incisive eye for detail, uncompromising nature and fierce dedication to your specific goals, Hugh has brought a new level of professionalism to Ottawa real estate.

You'll find his marketing plans comprehensive and effective and his pricing accurate. Hugh's gregarious personality is balanced by formidable negotiation skills and a keen interest in providing the highest level of service.
